Judge Tassone is a mediator and arbitrator who utilizes his vast experience in business, commercial, and construction personal injury disputes. He was an associate judge from 1983 until 1988 with the Circuit Court of Cook County and after retiring from the bench, he has been practicing law. His career began as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service, where he worked as a tax manager for Coopers & Lybrand before he began his legal career.
Judge Tasson received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University and his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. His extensive training in alternative dispute resolution included negotiation study at Harvard law School. He was named one of the top ten mediators/arbitrators in Illinois by Chicago magazine in 2005 and 2006.
He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Florida, the Northern District of Illinois, U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
